About GO2 Health
GO2 Health is a highly successful General Practice and Allied Health Hub located in Everton Park, Brisbane’s northside. Our mission has always been to provide collaborative care for the broader community, with a special focus on Veteran Care.
Founded in 2009 by Dr. Kieran McCarthy and Roderick Martin, our clinic has experienced rapid growth. CAKE had the privilege of joining forces with GO2 during this exciting period in our business journey. We not only helped plan for the clinic’s future success but also aimed to gain well-deserved recognition for our services in the community.
The Challenge
In recent years, Veteran’s health has gained significant attention from the government and the wider community. GO2 Health aims to attain recognition as one of Australia’s largest and most successful veteran care clinics. To date, we have provided care to over 4000 veterans and their families—an achievement that reflects our team’s dedication.
We believed that participating in the Telstra Business Awards would be an excellent way to showcase the clinic’s outstanding work and continued commitment. These awards are highly competitive and celebrate the best in the Australian business community. CAKE engaged in multiple rounds of research, message crafting, and the preparation of key criteria, along with graphic design and video production. GO2 entered the categories of “Building Communities” and “Championing Health.”
Despite the demanding workload, this project was immensely enjoyable for us at CAKE. Rod and Kieran’s passion and genuine love for their work are contagious. Collaborating with small businesses like GO2 is a privilege because we know the owners put their hearts and souls into their endeavors. Assisting them on their journey is an honour we cherish.
The Results
We are thrilled to announce that GO2 Health earned the title of QLD State winner in the “Building Communities” category after being named a state finalist in both categories they entered. This recognition is well-deserved.
This achievement goes beyond business success; it underscores the clinic’s importance to its community. It also highlights the positive impact that small business owners can have. Beyond being a thriving business that contributes significantly to the local economy, GO2 also enhances the health and well-being of numerous individuals. The clinic’s practitioners have had a profoundly positive impact on both the local and broader veteran communities—a contribution that deserves to be celebrated.
GO2 Health’s Telstra Business award submission revolved around the concept of “advocacy, empowerment, and agency,” principles that Rod and Kieran have embedded in every aspect of their business. Winning this award means more to them than a reflection of their business success; it’s a testament to the value the community places on the services they provide. They are committed to serving the local community and the veteran community for many years to come.
